Founder/Executive Director, Jennifer Romoff’s passion has always been to ensure that those with intellectual disability disorders (IDD) have the support and access to resources needed to live as independently as possible. As the mother of two disabled children, Jennifer knows first-hand the challenges young adults experience in an ever-changing society. This desire led her to a career move in 2016 from health care administration to working as a Habitation Specialist for a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit assisting individuals with a variety of IDD diagnoses with daily living skills and social outings to enrich their quality of life. From there, Jennifer spent the next three years providing direct care assistance to individuals with IDD as a Community Support Specialist. Through Jennifer’s direct care experiences, she became aware of the incredibly positive impact of interacting with individuals with IDD on an individualized basis and that this one-on-one, personal interaction and support resulted in improved independent living and social skills among those with IDD. This passion led Jennifer to establish Allegiant Human Services in 2019 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the individualized, personal care and support of individuals with IDD. Jennifer serves as the Executive Director responsible for overall organizational direction and accreditation, oversight of program operations, and staff supervision, but she’s also out there in the field every day working alongside AHS clients providing direct care support and modeling for staff a commitment to the effective delivery of services.
Jennifer is Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) Employment Services Certified and was a 2018 Dr. Carolyn Hoffman Leadership Nominee.
With over 25 years’ experience in the human services field, Maggie Davis ensures that AHS operations are always rooted in quality and that services are consistently driven by the person supported. Starting her career as a direct support professional (DSP), Maggie had the great opportunity to work first with children with autism and then with adolescents with behavioral challenges. Her time as a direct support professional allowed Maggie to understand the perspective and needs of Allegiant Human Services’ dedicated DSPs. With over 15 years of management experience prior to coming to Allegiant Human Services, Maggie started as a frontline supervisor and quickly grew to the role of program director whose purview included over 300 employees working in approximately 75 residential sites across six counties. Allegiant Human Services is an opportunity for Maggie to bring her experience and passion to an organization truly dedicated to the people they support and the DSPs that provide that support.
Working with people with intellectual disabilities for almost twenty years, Craig Morsaint has a broad spectrum of experience in community-based services for people with IDD. Those experiences have shaped Craig into becoming a fierce advocate for the rights of the people AHS supports, dedicated to ensuring that each person lives a life free of discrimination and restriction. Additionally, Craig has over a decade of management experience, culminating in an Environmental Services Director Role. However, Craig’s passion for working with people with IDD drew him back to the human services field. Joining Allegiant Human Services in 2019, Craig’s vast experience both within and outside of human services promote a remarkable understanding for needs of both the people supported and the DSPs who provide those supports.
Owning and operating his own business beginning in 2010, Mark Pronio was quick to understand the skills and value brought by people with disabilities and the need to offer them the same opportunities for competitive employment in the community. Mark was quick to partner with job facilitators to find unique roles within his business that best used the skills of the person and provided unique value to the company. The personal satisfaction Mark found through these experiences led him to begin working directly with people supported as a direct support professional as well as running his own business. In 2019, Mark realized that his passion truly lied with his work with people with disabilities. A part of the Allegiant Human Services team from its inception, Mark’s skills and experience as both a business owner and DSP have greatly assisted the growth and success of AHS today.
